Aunt Willie Dale has made Mississippi Mud EVERY YEAR for years for the Family Reunion. 1st dessert to be gone in a flash.So moist,and yummy.

Ingredients

  • 2 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 4
    eggs
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • dash(es)
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts (optional)
  • 1 jar(s)
    marshmallow cream
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 lb
    powdered sugar

How to Make Mississippi Mud

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt in saucepan butter & cocoa ...set aside
  2. In mixing bowl beat eggs
    Add sugar,flour dash salt
    vanilla,nuts...
    Mix well
  3. Add: butter/cocoa mixture
    Mix well
  4. Pour into 10x15 greased pan
    Bake 350
    20-25 min
  5. Immediately on taking from oven spread dollops of marshmellow cream (entire jar) over cake ...COOL
    Spread quickly yet gently
  6. Melt 1 stick butter,milk,and cocoa in saucepan.
  7. Add Powdered sugar
    Beat till smooth
  8. Spread over marshmellow cream
