Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 4 ounces coconut
  • 1 jar marshmallow cream
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • ICING INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 cup vanilla
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

How To Make mississippi mud cake

  • Step 1
    Cream butter and sugar together.
  • Step 2
    In a separate bowl, sift together flour and cocoa.
  • Step 3
    Add to the creamed mixture.
  • Step 4
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Step 5
    Stir in nuts and coconut.
  • Step 6
    Pour into a 9x13 pan.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Immediately cover hot cake with marshmallow cream and cool before icing.
  • Step 9
    Mix together cocoa powder and powdered sugar in melted butter, vanilla and evaporated milk. Pour icing on cake.
