  • 2 stick
    butter, melted
  • 2 c
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 4
  • 1/2 c
  • 4 oz
  • 1 jar(s)
    marshmallow cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    cocoa powder

  • 1 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 lb
    powdered sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    evaporated milk

How to Make Mississippi Mud Cake


  1. Cream butter and sugar together.
  2. In a separate bowl, sift together flour and cocoa.
  3. Add to the creamed mixture.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in nuts and coconut.
  6. Pour into a 9x13 pan.
  7. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.
  8. Immediately cover hot cake with marshmallow cream and cool before icing.
  9. Mix together cocoa powder and powdered sugar in melted butter, vanilla and evaporated milk. Pour icing on cake.
