I created another oat layer cake recipe. I use my favorite candy bar, Milky Way.

Ingredients
- 3 cups rolled oats, divided
- 7 bite-size Milky Way bars, unwrapped and cut into pieces
- 1 cup Torani caramel syrup, divided
- 1 teaspoon chocolate extract
- 4 tablespoons malted milk powder, divided
- 1 cup chilled chocolate milk
- 2 king-size Milky Way bars, sliced
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 tablespoon cane sugar
- 1 3/4 cups caramel ice cream topping, divided
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3/4 cup half and half
- 3/4 cup chocolate syrup
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
How To Make milky way oats layer cake

Step 1In a medium jar, combine 1 cup rolled oats, chopped Milky Way bar,1/2 cup caramel syrup, chocolate extract, 1 tablespoon malted milk powder, and chocolate milk. Whisk well with a fork until completely blended.

Step 2Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours.

Step 3Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat two 8' round cake pans with cooking spray.

Step 4Divide sliced Milky Way bars between both cake pans.

Step 5In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs,1 tablespoon malted milk powder, and remaining caramel syrup; beat on medium speed for 30 seconds.

Step 6Add the Milky Way oat mixture to the cake batter. Beat again on low speed for 3 minutes until blended.

Step 7Pour into the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 15 minutes.

Step 8Meanwhile, heat the margarine in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add remaining rolled oats and cane sugar. Saute for 5 minutes or until the oats are tender.

Step 9Stir in 3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping and 1 tablespoon malted milk powder. Remove from heat.

Step 10In a medium bowl, combine the heavy whipped cream, half and half, chocolate syrup, cream cheese, and remaining malted milk powder; mix well until blended. Set aside.

Step 11Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spoon remaining caramel ice cream topping onto the cake and spread evenly. Spread the sauteed oat mixture and sprinkle the sliced Milky Way bar over top.

Step 12Place the second cake layer on top and spread the frosting on the top and sides of the cake. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
