My husband was born in Hawii and his grandparents were Hawaiian This bread pudding recipe comes from his grandparents. It is simple and delicious. It also has been printed in the I-village Solutions Heirloom Recipes Cook Book.

Ingredients
- 4 - eggs , beaten
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- i/2 cup meelted butter
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 can 15 ounce can of crushed pineapple in juice or pine apple chunks
- 6 slices stale bread, cubed or torn
- 1/4 cup coconut (optional)

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2In a large bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, butter, flour, pineapple with its juices and bread cubes or pieces. Mix well

Step 3Pour mixture into a 9 inch round dish. Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about one hour. that has been sprayed with pam

Step 4We have always double the recipe and used a 13x 9 inch baking dish. The smaller one just isn't a big enough portion to satisfy everyone's taste buds and they always wants seconds.
