Ingredients
- 3 sticks butter (softened)
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 - eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- ICING:
- 1 box 10x powdered confectioners sugar
- 6 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons amaretto
How To Make melissa's cream cheese poundcake

Step 1Cake: Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Step 2Combine butter and cream cheese, blend well.

Step 3Add sugar slowly and mix for 6 minutes.

Step 4Add eggs one at a time.

Step 5Add flour, mix slowly while adding.

Step 6Add vanilla.

Step 7Pour into greased bunt pan and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Step 8Icing: Cream butter and cream cheese together.

Step 9Add powdered sugar and amaretto (or substitute 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. almond extract).

Step 10Optional-top with slivered almonds.
