I Have Been Using This Recipe For Ever Seems Like.At Lest Fiffty Years, Real Handy To Use. So Here It Is Again.And Thank You For Asking Me To Post It Again. I Use This In Cobblers A Lot And In Pot Pies.

Ingredients For master mix

  • 5 Pounds
    five pounds all - purpose flour
  • 2 1/3 c
    dry milk powder
  • 3/4 c
    baking powder
  • 3 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 lb
    vegetable shortening

How To Make master mix

    You Will Need A Large Deep Plastic Dish Pan To Mix This In. And A Large Container with a tight Lid.

    Sift Dry Ingredients Together In The Dish Your Mixing This Up In.

    Then Cut In The Shotening Until Mix Looks Like Cornmeal.

    Store At Room Temperature In Giant Canister,Or Two If Needed.

    This Will Make Cakes And Brownies.
