margaret's fruit cocktail cake
This cake was an inexpensive way for us to have a delicious dessert when I was little. My mother made it frequently. It was always very moist and delicious.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Flou cup self rising flour
- 1 cup Suga cup white sugar
- 1 tsp Soda teaspoon baking soda
- Salt pinch table salt
- 1 egg fresh egg
- Fruit fruit cocktail, canned 303
- 1 tsp tube pure vanilla extract
How To Make margaret's fruit cocktail cake

Step 1Mix flour sugar, soda, salt and egg in mixing bowl

Step 2Add one cup drained fruit cocktail

Step 3Pour into ungreased 9in square pan

Step 4Mix brown sugar and nuts together and sprinkle over top.

Step 5Put into a 350 degree oven and bake for 45 minutes.

Step 6Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
