Ingredients
- 2 cups mangoes, sliced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
How To Make mango upside down cake

Step 1Pour lemon juice over mangoes and let stand 15 minutes.

Step 2Melt 1 tablespoon butter in 8 inch cake pan or casserole. (Do not use iron skillet as mangoes will darken.)

Step 3Add brown sugar and cover with mango slices.

Step 4To prepare cake batter, cream butter; add sugar and cream; add beaten egg.

Step 5Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk; pour over mangoes and bake 50 to 60 minutes at 375.

Step 6When cake is done, turn upside down and serve while warm.
