This dessert comes from my cousin, Mary Lou...Simple to put together...You can substitute splenda white and brown sugar..I do for my diabetic husband...Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 cups wht. sugar or splenda
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 2- 11oz cans mandarin oranges (use 1 1/2 cans juice and whole segments.
  • TOPPING
  • 1 cup brown sugar or splenda brn sug
  • 2 tablespoons canned milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter

How To Make mandarin orange cake

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a bowl and beat gently 2 to 3 minutes..put in 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes at 350..degrees.
  • Step 2
    For the topping: Bring to a boil and pour over hot cake..
