My grandma (Mamma) made this cake every holiday in the year and I wanted to skip the dinner to eat it! It's the best pound cake you have ever tasted!

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1 tablespoon crisco shortening
- 2 cups cake flour
- 6 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or lemon extract
- 2 cups sugar
How To Make mamma's pound cake

Step 1Cream butter and sugar and add eggs, one at a time.

Step 2Add vanilla and a dash of salt.

Step 3Slowly add flour. Bake in well greased and floured loaf pans ( use crisco for this) at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Test if needed and cook a little longer if not done.
