This recipe came from an old friend of mine Judy Visser Shindlbeck. My mom, Betty Lillie, is in charge of making this dessert in our family. My kids never ask me (I don't know why, kids are weird like that) to make it but they beg their grandma to make "that ice cream thing". So here is the recipe for "that ice cream thing". This is even yummier if you use chocolate flavored malted milk powder. I posted it as it was originally given to me and it's out of this world good but try it with the chocolate malted milk powder it's even better!!

Malted milk balls are a family favorite in my house and this lovely recipe brought back a bushel full of memories! The more malt powder in this one, the better. Test Kitchen Avatar The Test Kitchen

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 6 oz
malted milk balls, crushed (put 'em in a Ziploc bag, don't seal it all the way so the air comes out, and smash those suckers with a meat mallot or rolling pin)

  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 6 Tbsp
    marshmallow cream
  • 6 Tbsp
