magical saucy cinnamon cake
(1 RATING)
It's a magical cake that makes it's own saucy layer underneath the cake. So, so good with a premium vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream. You can use any type of milk here - so feel free to change it up if there are any milk allergies.

How To Make magical saucy cinnamon cake
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease or spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
-
Step 2In a medium bowl, stir together all of the cake ingredients. Stir until smooth. Spread batter into the prepared dish.
-
Step 3In a separate bowl, combine the topping ingredients. Sprinkle over the top of the batter.
-
Step 4Now CAREFULLY AND VERY SLOWLY pour the hot water gently into each corner of the baking dish. It will gently cover the batter as you do this. The water will float on top of the batter. Do this very gently so it doesn't mix into the batter and thin it out.
-
Step 5Bake for 40-45 minutes. There will be a custardy layer on the bottom, and a cake layer on top. Serve warm. Extra good with whipped cream or ice cream on top!
