Ingredients

·prepare a velvet crumb cake batter as directed on package of buttermilk baking mix

·broiled macadamia topping:

·3 tbsp. soft butter

·1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

·2 tbsp. light cream
-
·1/2 cup flaked coconut

·1/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts
How to Make Macadamia Feast Cake
- Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour a square 8 x 8 inch pan or a round layer pan, 9 inches. Pour prepared velvet crumb batter into prepared pan. Bake about 35 minutes or til top springs back when touched lightly. While warm, top with broiled macadamia topping.
- For topping, mix all ingredients. Spread on warm cake. Set oven control to broil and/or 550. Place cake 3 inches from source of heat. Broiler til nicely browned, about 3 minutes.
