linda's peanut butter cookie pound cake

My son loves peanut butter cookies. So i wanted to make a cake that tasted as close to a peanut butter cookie as I could. I have baked the regular peanut butter cakes eveyone else makes. But I wanted more, so this is what I ended up with. I hope everyone enjoys it as I have.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups self rising flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 sticks land o'lakes butter
  • 3 ounces cream cheese (buy 8 oz you will need for icing)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
  • 6 - eggs
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • PEANUT BUTTER ICING
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 5 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 stick land o'lakes butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1/4+or- cup condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

How To Make linda's peanut butter cookie pound cake

  • Step 1
    Cake: Mix cream cheese, butter, sugars,and peanut butter until smooth. Add eggs one at a timemixing after each.Add vanilla flavoring. Add flour 1 cup at a time mixing after each. Pour in a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake in preheated oven for 1hr. to 1hr 20 min. at 350*. Or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from pan top side up. Let cool and Frost.
  • Step 2
    Icing:Mix cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar until smooth. Add vanilla and condense milk. You may want to use less or more of the milk depending on how you like your icing. Spead on cake when cake is completely cooled. Sprinkle with the tablespoon of sugar ( just as you would a peanut butter cookie). Enjoy. Even better the next day.
