Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups butter,softened (3 sticks)
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon grated lime zest
- 5 large eggs, room temp
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- GLAZE
- 2 cups confectioner's sugar
- 1/4 cup butter,melted (1/2 stick)
- 1-2 tablespoon hot water
- 1 tablespoon grated lime zest
How To Make lime pound cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Butter and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. Sift the flour, baking powder,and salt into a large bowl.

Step 2Beat the butter,sugar and lime zest in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until creamy. Add the eggs,one at a time, until just blended after each addition.

Step 3With mixer at low speedy, gradually beat in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake for 70-80 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 4Run a knife around the edges of pan to loosen cake. Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes. Turn onto a rack and cool completely.

Step 5Glaze: Beat the confectioner's sugar and butter in a medium bowl. Beat in enough of the water to make a glaze. Drizzle the cake with glaze. Sprinkle the cake with the lime zest.
