How to Make Lime Pound Cake
1Preheat oven to 350. Butter and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. Sift the flour, baking powder,and salt into a large bowl.
2Beat the butter,sugar and lime zest in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until creamy. Add the eggs,one at a time, until just blended after each addition.
3With mixer at low speedy, gradually beat in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake for 70-80 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
4Run a knife around the edges of pan to loosen cake. Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes. Turn onto a rack and cool completely.
Beat the confectioner's sugar and butter in a medium bowl. Beat in enough of the water to make a glaze. Drizzle the cake with glaze. Sprinkle the cake with the lime zest.
