My grandma made this all the time. It's the moistest pound cake I have had. You can also make it vanilla.

Ingredients
- 1 cup crisco or oil
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 5 - eggs
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4 cup cocoa, unsweetened
How To Make lillie mae's chocolate pound cake

Step 1Cream sugar and butter.

Step 2Add eggs one at a time. Mix well.

Step 3Add vanilla and milk mix well.

Step 4Mix flour, baking powder,salt,cocoa.

Step 5Alternte mixing dry ingredients into liquid ingredients in a seperate bowl.

Step 6If too liquidy add more flour. If too dry add more milk.

Step 7Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

Step 8Bake at 325 degrees for one hour and 20 minutes till toothpick in center comes out clean.

Step 9To make vanilla pound cake omit cocoa.
