so easy chocolate cake - cass's
This is a very moist lil cake. When I want something fast and simple, this is the cake I turn to..I always sprinkle it with confectioner's sugar..you could frost it if you prefer..I like the simplicity of it! This is a nice cake, if getting last minute company..only 1 bowl to clean too..that's my kind of cake! My pictures.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup baking cocoa, i use hershey's
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 - egg
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- - confectioners' sugar ( optional )

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease an 8 inch baking pan. I used cooking spray. -
Step 2In a medium mixing bowl, combine the first six ingredients.

Step 3Add the egg and butter and mix well.

Step 4Pour into prepared baking pan. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean. Cool, and dust with confectioner's sugar.

Step 5This cake is so simple and moist..we love it!
