Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 - k-cup of butterscotch or caramel flavored coffee, brewed at 8-ounce setting
  • - powdered sugar

How To Make lenten mocha cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350º. Pour sugar, flour, salt, soda, and cocoa into large mixing bowl and whisk to combine. In another bowl, combine vanilla, vinegar, oil & coffee. Add wet ingredients to gry ingredients and stir to combine. Pour batter into ungreased 8 x 8 pan. Bake 30-40 minutes, or until toothpick tests clean. Dust with powdered sugar after cool.
