This cake is outrageous..once you start eating it, you can't stop! If you like lemon, you will love this cake. It always disappears

Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 package small lemon jello mix
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • - juice from 2 lemons (to desired consistency)
  • - zest from 1 lemon (or to taste)

How To Make lemonade cake

  • Step 1
    Pre Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 X 13 pan
  • Step 2
    Mix cake mix, eggs, oil, water, jello mix together for 4 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Pour into 9 X 13 pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Meanwhile mix Powdered sugar, lemon juice and zest together. Add just enough of the lemon juice to get a consistency for pouring over cake. This will soak into the cake so you don't want it too thick.
  • Step 5
    Remove cake from oven, punch holes all over the cake with a fork while it's still hot. Spread lemon topping over cake. Let cool, serve.
