Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    yellow cake mix
  • 4 large
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable or canola oil
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 1 pkg
    small lemon jello mix
  • 2 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • ·
    juice from 2 lemons (to desired consistency)
  • ·
    zest from 1 lemon (or to taste)

How to Make Lemonade Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 X 13 pan
  2. Mix cake mix, eggs, oil, water, jello mix together for 4 minutes.
  3. Pour into 9 X 13 pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile mix Powdered sugar, lemon juice and zest together. Add just enough of the lemon juice to get a consistency for pouring over cake. This will soak into the cake so you don't want it too thick.
  5. Remove cake from oven, punch holes all over the cake with a fork while it's still hot. Spread lemon topping over cake. Let cool, serve.
