Ingredients
- CREAM
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 - egg yolks, reserve whites
- SIFT TOGETHER
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 cups flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
How To Make lemon yellow cake

Step 1Cream margarine, sugar and slightly beaten egg yolks.

Step 2Sift together baking powder, flour and salt.

Step 3To creamed mixture add dry ingredients alternately with milk mixture after each addition.

Step 4Fold in slightly beaten egg whites.

Step 5Add vanilla and lemon extract.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes for two 8 inch layers or 30-35 minutes for one 9 x 12 pan. Test to be sure cake is done.
