This is such an easy recipe and makes a lot and so good for any kind of potluck or get-togethers. If you like lemon, you will enjoy this cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix or lemon for a more lemony flavor
  • 1 can(s)
    lemon pie filling
  • 4
    eggs
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened - this starts the frosting
  • 3 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 stick
    margarine

How to Make Lemon Sheet Cake and Frosting

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix first three ingredients together and spread into a lightly greased 13 x 15" or 15 x 18" sheet cake pan. Bake 30 - 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
  2. Frosting: Mix frosting ingredients together and frost sheet cake. Cool cake before frosting. This is just cut into bars and is more like a lemon bar. Very tasty!
