This is such an easy recipe and makes a lot and so good for any kind of potluck or get-togethers. If you like lemon, you will enjoy this cake.

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix or lemon for a more lemony flavor
1 can lemon pie filling
4 - eggs
8 ounces cream cheese, softened - this starts the frosting
3 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 stick margarine

How To Make lemon sheet cake and frosting

Step 1

Mix first three ingredients together and spread into a lightly greased 13 x 15" or 15 x 18" sheet cake pan. Bake 30 - 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Step 2

Frosting: Mix frosting ingredients together and frost sheet cake. Cool cake before frosting. This is just cut into bars and is more like a lemon bar. Very tasty!
