Ingredients
- - 1/2 cup butter
- - 1 cup sugar
- - 2 eggs
- - 2 cups cake flour
- - 1 tsp baking powder
- - 1/2 tsp salt
- - 1/2 cup milk
- - 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- - grated rind of 1 lemon
- LEMON GLAZE
- - 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- - juice from 1 lemon
- - combine ingredients mixing well . pour over warm cake

Step 1Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.

Step 2Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk mixing well after each addition. Stir in pecans and lemon rind.

Step 3Pour batter into greased and flour 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until tests done.

Step 4Pour glaze over coffee cake. Cool 10-15 minutes before removing from pan.
