I was trying to come up with a recipe to use up my cream cheese before the expiration date and this cake is what I came up with. I hope you like it!

Ingredients

  • 1 box butter cake mix
  • 1 box instant lemon pudding mix
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 - eggs
  • FILLING
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

How To Make lemon cheese cake

  • Step 1
    For the cake. Mix all the ingredients together and pour half the mixture into a greased and floured bundt pan. Set the remainder aside.
  • Step 2
    Mix the filling together and pour over the cake Mix. Spoon the rest of the cake mixture over the filling and place in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes until top is golden brown and not real jiggly.
  • Step 3
    Let cool completely and place in fridge to finish cooling before cutting.
