Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 can 14-1/2 ounce can of applesauce
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice, ground
- 1/2 cup crisco shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground
- 2 - eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- TOPPING
- 1 can 14-1/2ounce unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon allspice, ground
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make lee's applesauce cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Cream together sugar and Cisco. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.

Step 3Sift dry ingredients together.

Step 4Add alternately with applesauce to sugar mixture.

Step 5Pour into bundt pan and bake at 350 degrees until done (not sure how long, this was my Mom's recipe).

Step 6For Topping: mix ingredients. Take a wooden spoon and poke holes in warm cake. Spread topping over warm cake.
