Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 medium eggs
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
- BUTTER SAUCE
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon rum or vanilla flavoring
How To Make kentucky butter cake

Step 1preheat oven to 350 degrees spray bundt pan or 10 inch tube pan with cooking spray.

Step 2In large bowl cream butter, gradually add the sugar, continue creaming until light and fluffy.Add eggs one at a time beating well after each,add remaining ingredients (except butter sauce)beat 2 minutes at medium speed.pour into prepared pan and bake for 60-65 minutes.until top springs back when lightly touched.

Step 3prepare butter sauce, in small pan combine sugar water and butter, heat until butter is melted (do not boil) remove from heat and stir in flavoring.

Step 4prick top of warm cake with a fork and slowly pour butter sauce over the top. cool cake completely before removing from pan.
