kentucky bluegrass fudge pie
I got this from a old "Family Cirle" magazine back in the 70's as a new bride. Hope you enjoy it. When I serve this with ice cream, sometimes I also drizzle chocolate sauce over the top!

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup softened butter (1 stick)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 pint vanila ice cream (optional)
How To Make kentucky bluegrass fudge pie

Step 1Grease an 8 x 1 1/2 inch cake pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Combine flour, cocoa, and salt on wax paper.

Step 3Spread walnuts on baking sheet and toast (stirring often) for about 10 minutes; cool; reserve.

Step 4Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a medium size bowl until light and fluffy. Sitr in flour mixture until well blended. Stir in toasted walnuts. Turn into prepared pan.

Step 5Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Do NOT overbake. Cool on wire rack. Remove from pan. Spoon ice cream onto center of pie. Cut into pie shaped wedges.
