    applesauce (i used candied fruit)
  • ·
    or 2 cups fruit (any kind)
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 c
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda

How to Make Kauffman Amish Bakery Fruit Cake


  1. Mix together all ingredients and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  3. Icing:
    1 stick butter
    1/2 cup evaporated milk
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
  4. Stir together in a saucepan, then boil 5 minutes.
    Cool cake and cover with icing.
