Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups cake flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons hershey cocoa powder
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 1/4 cups cooking oil
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup bulgarian buttermilk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons real vanilla
- 1/2 to 3/4 ounces red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 cup freshly made warm coffee
- CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE ICING
- 2 sticks parkay margarine
- 16 ounces cream cheese
- 3/4 teaspoon hershey cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla
- 32 ounces powdered sugar
How To Make kats red velvet mocha cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 . Grease and flour 3 round cake pans.

Step 2Whisk together : cake flour , salt , baking powder , baking soda and cocoa in medium bowl . Set this aside .

Step 3In a large bowl mix sugar and cooking oil. Mix eggs into mixture one at a time until blended , stir in buttermilk , vanilla and food coloring until well blended. Now stir in coffee and vinegar.

Step 4Combine your wet mixture with dry ingredients (mixing a little at a time ) until it is combined.

Step 5Pour batter in pans evenly ( tap pans to release air bubbles ). Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean .DO NOT OVERCOOK .

Step 6Cool cakes on racks ,then loosen cakes on side and remove from pans to finish cooling before icing .

Step 7Make sure cake is COMPLETELY cool before icing.
