How to Make Jodie's Doughnuts
- Preheat cooking oil in a Dutch Oven
- 1. In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt, soda, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- 2. In a separate bowl beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer.
- 3. Stir in melted butter, add flour mixture and milk mixture until well-mixed cover, chill about 2 hours. Turn onto lightly floured surface board, roll out to 1/2 inch; cut with doughnut or biscuit cuttet and cut your holes. Fry in deep, hot grease (375*) 1 min per side or till golden on each side, turning once. Drain on paper towel. Shake in powder sugar or sugar cinnamon or how ever you like....
