Notes from the Test Kitchen:
The only thing that could possibly make this bread better is to pair it with a steaming cup of hot coffee! We used pecans, but this would be great with walnuts too.

2/3 c
vegetable oil

baking soda
1 1/2 tsp

ground cinnamon
1 tsp
ground cloves

baking powder
1/2 c
chopped nuts

How to Make Janet's Pumpkin Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees grease bottom only of two loaf pans.
  • 2Mix sugar, eggs, pumpkin, and water in a large bowl, stir in remaining ingredients pour into pans.
  • 3Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool and remove from pans.
