This is great for thanksgiving dessert, and makes a good gift.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

The only thing that could possibly make this bread better is to pair it with a steaming cup of hot coffee! We used pecans, but this would be great with walnuts too. The Test Kitchen

    sugar
  • 2/3 c
    vegetable oil
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 (16 ) oz
    can pumpkin
  • 2/3 c
    water
  • 3 1/3 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

How to Make Janet's Pumpkin Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees grease bottom only of two loaf pans.
  2. Mix sugar, eggs, pumpkin, and water in a large bowl, stir in remaining ingredients pour into pans.
  3. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool and remove from pans.
