my neighbor made this,shes from illinois like i was,and it was so good,i make this often and its really easy.

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 - eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vinegar,mix that into the milk
- 1 cup mashed banana,i like mine to get dark,better flavor
- FROSTING
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- - cococnut is optional,to taste if you want,and nuts also

Step 1mix all the ingrediants for the cake,and use a mixer,till incorporated well,no lumps.bake at 350 for around 35 minutes,i use a 9 by 13 inch metal pan,i use pam on the pan before i put the batter in it.when its done take it out,and turn the stove to broil.

Step 2use a sauce pan to cook the frosting till it melts and the sugar is all melted in it.pour over the top of the cake in the pan,then place it under the broiler,watch this very carefully so you dont burn it.it carmelized it on the top of the cake.optional it you want to put some coconut and nuts on top.when it looks lightly browned on top,take it out and enjoy.
