Ingredients

  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 5 - egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 5 - egg whites (beat stiff)
  • 1 can coconut (small can)

How To Make italian cream cheese cake

  • Step 1
    1. Cream margarine and shortening. 2. Add sugar gradually and beat well. 3. Add egg yolks and beat. 4. Combine flour and soda. Add to cream mixture alternating with buttermilk. 5. Stir in coconut and chopped pecans. 6. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. 7. Bake in 3 round pans at 350 for 25 minutes.

    Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients 1/2 stick butter 1 box powdered sugar 8 oz. cream cheese 1 t. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped pecans

    Frosting directions: 1. Beat cream cheese and butter 2. Add sugar 3. Add vanilla and nuts. 4. Beat until creamy and frost Great cake to freeze.
