- 5 - egg whites (beat stiff)
- 1 can coconut (small can)

Step 11. Cream margarine and shortening. 2. Add sugar gradually and beat well. 3. Add egg yolks and beat. 4. Combine flour and soda. Add to cream mixture alternating with buttermilk. 5. Stir in coconut and chopped pecans. 6. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. 7. Bake in 3 round pans at 350 for 25 minutes.
