Ingredients
- 1 stick butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 large egg yolks
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup coconut, flaked
- 1 cup pecans or walnuts
- 5 large egg whites
- - frosting ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 box powder sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)
How To Make italian cream cake

Step 1Mix butter, Crisco, sugar and egg yolks until creamy then add flour, vanilla, buttermilk mix again, mix egg whites until stiff then fold in to cake batter. Pour into three cake pans that have been oiled and lightly floured.

Step 2Bake 30-35 at 350*F

Step 3Make frosting and frost the cooled cake, put 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts on top. ENJOY
