idiot proof cheesecake

Extremely easy to make. My son loves to help me make this.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cream cheese room temp
  • 1 pound ricotta cheese
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 pound butter melted

How To Make idiot proof cheesecake

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour 10" spring form pan. I use a 9" and it works just fine.
  • Step 2
    Mix all ingredients together one at a time untill they are all mixed well. Pour in to spring form pan. I place the pan on a cookie sheet for easy handling.
  • Step 3
    Bake for 1 hour. After the hour is done, turn off oven and DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN FOR 2 MORE HOURS. Let the cheesecake sit in the oven while the oven cools. After the 2 additional hours remove cheesecake and chill for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Step 4
    Once chilled remove from pan and invirt onto a serving dish and decorate as desired. There will be a crack in the top. This is normal. I have added crukshed up Oreo's into the batter before baking and it turnes out great.
