This is one of my grandmother's long time recipes and one of my favorites. You'll notice a couple of old school baking with "hand stir" and "grease and flour" pan. Grandma has never deviated from that. And who am I to argue with and 97 year old pro. :)

Ingredients
- 3 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 - eggs
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups crushed pineapple
- 1 1/2 cups bananas,ripe, mashed
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
How To Make hummingbird cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan.

Step 2Hand stir the first five ingredients in a large bowl.

Step 3Add oil and eggs and stir.

Step 4Add fruits, nuts, and vanilla, mix well.

Step 5Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 30 minutes.
