Perfect for the winter season, my daughter and husband love it when I make this! It makes a large loaf so use your large loaf pan. Also can be made into individual loafs, just adjust cooking time.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    mini marshmallows

How to Make Hot Chocolate Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine cream cheese, butter, and sugar. Cream with a mixer. Add egg and vanilla. Mix again. Add the cocoa powder and about 1/2 cup of the buttermilk; mix well. Add all the remaining ingredients (except the marshmallows) and stir to combine. Fold in the marshmallows.
  2. Spoon into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350-degrees for 50-60 minutes.
