This recipe was given to me by an old friend I have lost touch with. Everytime I make it I think about her :) It is one of our favorites.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    fudge cake mix
  • 1 can(s)
    cherry pie filling
  • 2
    beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • ICING

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 6 oz
    semi sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Hope's Chocolate Cherry Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix the first 4 ingredients together. Pour into greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 mins.
  2. Boil the first 3 ingredients for 1 minute stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and stir until melted then pour over cake.
