Another recipe I have made a couple times,I love the spices. I had noted on the book, that I had purchased this cook book in 1980 at a garage sale in Ohio, of all places! On my way to Niagara Falls we stopped at a restaurant to eat, and across the street was this garage sale.... Whoopee!! I am always looking for old cook books!

This is an old traditional DUTCH recipe. Delicious, cut into slices, toasted and buttered. Honey helps to keeps this cake moist. It is like a fruitcake,it improves if kept in a cool place and tightly covered. Recipe by A. Ferrick Posted for "DUTCH"

A good memory is fine- but the ability to forget is the true test of greatness.
