"honigkock"a dutch butter cake from a penn.1968 church cookbook
Another recipe I have made a couple times,I love the spices. I had noted on the book, that I had purchased this cook book in 1980 at a garage sale in Ohio, of all places! On my way to Niagara Falls we stopped at a restaurant to eat, and across the street was this garage sale.... Whoopee!! I am always looking for old cook books!

Step 2This is an old traditional DUTCH recipe. Delicious, cut into slices, toasted and buttered. Honey helps to keeps this cake moist. It is like a fruitcake,it improves if kept in a cool place and tightly covered. Recipe by A. Ferrick Posted for "DUTCH"

Step 3A good memory is fine- but the ability to forget is the true test of greatness.
