This cake is moist, yummy, full of wonderful cinnamon/sugar flavor and tastes just like a honeybun. Thanks to my neighbor, Laurie, for sharing!

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

How To Make honeybun cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 335 degrees F. Mix with a spoon: cake mix, oil, eggs & sour cream until lumps are gone.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar & cinnamon.
  • Step 3
    Pour 1/2 cake mix in a 13x9 inch cake pan that's been sprayed lightly with cooking spray.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle brown sugar mixture evenly over the top.
  • Step 5
    Pour remaining mixture over sugar and spread evenly.
  • Step 6
    With a butter knife, swirl cake mix to resemble honey bun. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
  • Step 7
    Icing: Combine powdered sugar, evaporated milk & vanilla until creamy. Pour over warm cake.
