Ingredients

1 box
yellow cake mix
4
eggs
3/4 c
cooking oil
8 oz
sour cream
1 c
brown sugar
1 Tbsp
cinnamon

FROSTING

2 c
confectioners' sugar
4 Tbsp
milk (add more as necessary)
1 Tbsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Honeybun Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1MIx cake mix, eggs, oil, and sour cream well.
  • 2Pour one-half of this mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
  • 3In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together and pour this mixture over the first half of the cake batter.
  • 4Add remaining cake batter over top of brown sugar mixture. Swirl top of batter with fork to incorporate the brown sugar throughtout the cake batter.
  • 5Bake 40 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • 6Remove from oven and cool completely. Mix ingredients for frosting and pour over cooled cake. (Can double the icing for more topping if desired).
