honey bun cake
Originally found this recipe in a Full Cry (hunting magazine) LOL! I have cooked this several times & the cake is gone in no-time. I added/changed a couple of items that made it more to my liking. The original recipe calls for Yellow cake mix, i changed to Butter Pecan. Also, I have added minced pecan whereas it didn't have it in original recipe. My husband & family all love this cake. My friends all ask for the recipe & they all say they like it. Hopefully you will all like it too!

Ingredients
- 1 box butter pecan cake mix
- 3/4 cup canola oil
- 8 ounces sour cream, fat-free
- 4 large eggs
- CRUMB MIXTURE (STIR INTO ABOVE CAKE BATTER MIXTURE)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- GLAZE FOR TOPPING
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoons milk
How To Make honey bun cake

Step 1In Medium sized mixing bowl combine the cake mix, oil, eggs & the sour cream. Hint... I don't do nothin' but dump into the bowl, Mix well. Then Pour it into a Greased & Floured Tube Pan.

Step 2In a separate medium sized bowl, mix together the Brown Sugar, Cinnamon & the Pecans. Sprinkle & Swirl 1/2 of mixture into the Cake Batter. Remaining mixture, sprinkle this on top of Cake Batter.

Step 3In preheated 350 degree oven; bake for aprox. 1 Hour or until Golden Brown. Cake Tester is clean when removed. This is a very Moist Cake, just watch when close to an hour has passed.

Step 4GLAZE --- Mix together the Glaze mixture & pour over the warm cake. This is important because it melts into the cake --- Enjoy this recipe because I have noticed that every man this is cooked for devours it. No Kidding!
