This is so moist and yummy I hardly ever buy Honey Buns. Be careful though it's VERY adicting (: If u r on a diet this is deffinately NOT the cake to make. I've caught myself eating 2-3 pieces a day!

Ingredients

  • 1 box butter recipe yellow cake mix
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 4 - eggs
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make honey bun cake

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 Grease or spray 9x13 cake pan
  • Step 2
    Reserve 1/2 cup of dry cake mix
  • Step 3
    Beat together: remaining dry mix, butter, eggs, sour cream 2 min at medium speed
  • Step 4
    Spread 1/2 batter in pan
  • Step 5
    Stir together: reserved dry cake mix, brown sugar, pecans (optional), cinnamon
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle over batter in pan
  • Step 7
    To make spreading easier- drop by dollips the remaining batter over cinnamon mixture in pan
  • Step 8
    Bake 40 - 45 minutes till deep golden brown.
  • Step 9
    While cake is baking mix together Glaze -( pd sugar, milk, vanilla ) If too thick to pour as glaze add more milk 1 tsp at a time
  • Step 10
    Polk a few holes in warm cake and pour glaze over entire cake. Cool a little longer and ENJOY (:
