This is so moist and yummy I hardly ever buy Honey Buns. Be careful though it's VERY adicting (:
If u r on a diet this is deffinately NOT the cake to make. I've caught myself eating 2-3 pieces a day!

  • 1 box
    butter recipe yellow cake mix
  • 2 stick
  • 4
  • 16 oz
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/3 c
    chopped pecans (optional)
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Honey Bun Cake


  1. Heat oven to 350
    Grease or spray 9x13 cake pan
  2. Reserve 1/2 cup of dry cake mix
  3. Beat together: remaining dry mix, butter, eggs, sour cream
    2 min at medium speed
  4. Spread 1/2 batter in pan
  5. Stir together: reserved dry cake mix, brown sugar, pecans (optional), cinnamon
  6. Sprinkle over batter in pan
  7. To make spreading easier- drop by dollips the remaining batter over cinnamon mixture in pan
  8. Bake 40 - 45 minutes till deep golden brown.
  9. While cake is baking mix together Glaze -( pd sugar, milk, vanilla )
    If too thick to pour as glaze add more milk 1 tsp at a time
  10. Polk a few holes in warm cake and pour glaze over entire cake.
    Cool a little longer and ENJOY (:
