homemade white cake...

I make this every so often. Some times I add in a few drops of food coloring if I wanna give the cake a freaky look to it lol...

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups cake flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 - eggs, whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

How To Make homemade white cake...

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350F.
  • Step 2
    Then mix together the wet ingredients in a meduim bowl, all but the egg & suagr. hen add sift together the dry ingredenits in a large bowl. Then slowly add the dry to wet & mix on low speed until batter is smooth.
  • Step 3
    In a medium bowl beat the egg whites & sugar until frothy. Then add in the cream of tartar & continue to beating until egg whites are stiff.
  • Step 4
    Then gradually fold this mixer into the batter & make sure not to over mix.
  • Step 5
    Pour into 2 waxed paper lined 9-inch layer pans.
  • Step 6
    Then bake for about 35 to 40 mins. Then frost as you wish.
