holiday leftover cake

I think original reciepe came from TV, however the family looks forward to having this cake after thanksgiving and christmas. This cake is really moist and rich. Its a great way to use a couple of your left overs from the holidays!!! My first recipe hope its ok.

Ingredients
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1 can yams, or i use left over yams with marshmellows
- 1/2 can cranberry sauce, or any leftover from holiday dinner
- 1 - cream cheese frosting or make your own
How To Make holiday leftover cake

Step 1prepare the spice mix as directed on the box

Step 2take your can of yams, or left over yams and smah until a thick paste consistency. Usually to make about 3/4 - 1 cup of smashed yams.

Step 3add yams to the cake mix

Step 4mix well and bake as directed as two layers or in one big cake. May take a little longer because of the heaviness.

Step 5when cake is done cool completely. If only made one cake slice down middle to make into layers. place cranberry sauce in in middle of the two layers and frost the whole thing.
