Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1-1/3 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cup flour
- 1 jar (6 ounce) maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup sour cream
How To Make holiday cherry pecan cake

Step 1In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients. Dredge cherries in 1/4 cup of flour. Stir in cherries and pecans. Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat after each addition, stir in vanilla. Beat until incorporated.

Step 2Spread batter evenly in greased and floured 9 X 5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
