This recipe was given to my by our housekeeper back in 1950's Helen has passed for many years, but this cake is the best pound cake I have ever made. It is very easy so it is worth a try

- 1 pound butter
- 1 pound confectionery sugar
- 6 - eggs
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
How To Make helen's pound cake

Step 1beat butter and sugar togethter.........add eggs one at a time then flour and vanila

Step 2add eggs one at a time

Step 3then flour and vanila in well and put into a greased tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees
