This recipe was given to my by our housekeeper back in 1950's Helen has passed for many years, but this cake is the best pound cake I have ever made. It is very easy so it is worth a try

Ingredients

  • 1 pound butter
  • 1 pound confectionery sugar
  • 6 - eggs
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How To Make helen's pound cake

  • Step 1
    beat butter and sugar togethter.........add eggs one at a time then flour and vanila
  • Step 2
    add eggs one at a time
  • Step 3
    then flour and vanila in well and put into a greased tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees
