Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    heavenly creations gourmet english toffee, finely crushed, or use store bought toffee candy bars.
  • 1 c
    buttermilk

How to Make Heavenly Toffee Crunch Coffee Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut butter into flour and sugars until crumbly.
  2. Set aside 1/2 cup.
  3. To remainder, add buttermilk, soda, egg and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Pour 1/3 batter into well greased and floured 9 X 9 pan.
  5. Combine reserved mixture and candy and sprinkle over batter.
  6. Alternate remaining batter and candy mixture.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
  8. To crush candy bars: place in freezer.
  9. When thoroughly chilled, place between 2 sheets of foil and roll with rolling pin.
