heavenly toffee crunch coffee cake
We make Gourmet English Toffee (jellyfromheaven.com) and this a great way for us to use up the crumbs!!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup heavenly creations gourmet english toffee, finely crushed, or use store bought toffee candy bars.
- 1 cup buttermilk
How To Make heavenly toffee crunch coffee cake

Step 1Cut butter into flour and sugars until crumbly.

Step 2Set aside 1/2 cup.

Step 3To remainder, add buttermilk, soda, egg and vanilla; beat well.

Step 4Pour 1/3 batter into well greased and floured 9 X 9 pan.

Step 5Combine reserved mixture and candy and sprinkle over batter.

Step 6Alternate remaining batter and candy mixture.

Step 7Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.

Step 8To crush candy bars: place in freezer.

Step 9When thoroughly chilled, place between 2 sheets of foil and roll with rolling pin.
