Ingredients

  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 -'4 - well ripened bananas, mashed with fork
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Chopped - pecans - optional
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1 - 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar

How To Make ~ heavenly banana cream cheese bars ~

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick spray. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar untill fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat in vanilla, sour cream and bananas. Sift together the flour, sat and soda. Add to wet ingredients and beat just until incorporated.
  • Step 2
    Spread into prepared dish. Bake for 45 minutes or until pick comes out clean. Cool on rack.
  • Step 3
    Make frosting. In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter. Next the vanilla. Beat in sugar a little at a time until all is added and creamy.
  • Step 4
    Spread frosting over cooled bars, sprinkle with pecans if desired, cut and serve!
