My own creation in the early 1970. every one alway wants me to me to make this

1 c
1 c
confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 c
egg white
1 tsp
cream of tartar
1 tsp
1 c
2 box
cook and serve lemon pie filling


1sift flour and confectioner's sugar together twice: set aside.
2In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt on medium speed until soft peaks form. Add vanilla
3Gradually beat sugar, about 2 tablespoons at a time. Untill soft peaks form, scraping bowl occasionally.
4Gradually fold in flour mixture, about 1/2 cup at a time. Pour into ungreased 10 inch tube pan.
5Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until lightly browned and entire top appears dry.
6Immediately invert cake pan onto wire rack. Cool, completely, about 1 hour. After cake cools cut across in 1/3 so you will have 3 layers .
7Cook pie filling according to directions for pie.
8On first layer spread pie filling, add second layer and spread pie filling, and repeat with the top layer, take remaining filling, fill circle of angel food cake
9heat oven to 350 beat 3 egg whites in larg bowlwith mixer on high speed gradually add 1/3 cup sugar to form peaks spreap on cake top side cover good bake till golden
