Ingredients
- 3 - eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, light
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa, unsweetened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 cup coffee, strong and cold
- FROSTING INGREDIENTS
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound powdered sugar, well sifted
- 3 tablespoons cocoa, unsweetened
- 3 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur
- 2 tablespoons coffee, hot
How To Make hazelnut chocolate cake with frosting

Step 1Grease and flour two 9" cake pans; preheat oven to 350.

Step 2Separate eggs.

Step 3Beat egg whites until frothy; then beat in sugar until stiff peaks form and set aside.

Step 4Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy; beat in yolks one at a time.

Step 5Sift flour, cocoa and baking soda together; add to creamed mixture alternately with coffee and hazelnut liqueur, blend well.

Step 6Fold egg whites into batter; pour into prepared pans and bake 30-35 minutes or until done.

Step 7Cool 10 minutes then invert on wire racks and remove pans; cool before frosting.

Step 8FROSTING: Cream butter with sugar; add everything else and beat until smooth.
