FROSTING INGREDIENTS

6 Tbspbutter

1 lbpowdered sugar, well sifted

3 Tbspcocoa, unsweetened

3 Tbsphazelnut liqueur

2 Tbspcoffee, hot
How to Make Hazelnut Chocolate Cake with Frosting
- Grease and flour two 9" cake pans; preheat oven to 350.
- Separate eggs.
- Beat egg whites until frothy; then beat in sugar until stiff peaks form and set aside.
- Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy; beat in yolks one at a time.
- Sift flour, cocoa and baking soda together; add to creamed mixture alternately with coffee and hazelnut liqueur, blend well.
- Fold egg whites into batter; pour into prepared pans and bake 30-35 minutes or until done.
- Cool 10 minutes then invert on wire racks and remove pans; cool before frosting.
- FROSTING: Cream butter with sugar; add everything else and beat until smooth.
